I provide psychotherapy through a psychodynamic or psychoanalytic lens.
Psychotherapy is a journey in the pursuit of self awareness, acceptance, agency and freedom where you are no longer restrained by your past, your anxiety or entrenched in the negative relationship patterns you desperately want to break free from.
We would meet regularly and discuss whatever felt important for you at that moment time paying attention to thoughts, emotions, patterns and deeper experiences.
It is like gradually removing the dirt from an archaeological site. Over time you discover more about what lies beneath the surface; you can start to put things together and getting a more in depth understanding of what was previously hidden.
My session fee is $190 for a 50 minute consultation.
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan obtained through your General Practitioner you will be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of $126.50 for up to ten psychological sessions per calendar year.
If you are a therapist who is interested in developing depth and expanding the treatment you provide to your clients then supervision from a psychodynamic perspective may benefit.
I am able to provide primary or secondary supervision to psychologists completing the following training pathways:
- Clinical psychology Registrar Program
- Clinical psychology Higher Degree Program
- Work in Addition to Higher Degree
- 5+1 Internship
- 4+2 Internship
I am also able to supervise clinicians who are interested in working or thinking psychoanalytically as part of their ongoing professional development.
